Thanks to That Sara, of NYC Nom Nom fame, I had an unexpectedly wonderful Wednesday evening the other week. She had a spare ticket to a Gilt City event at Ouidad's 'Curls' Night Out' event. I was already home for the night in Brooklyn, but I'm always up for something fun (free shampoo, styling, champagne AND cupcakes!?!? Shiver me timbers!!) so I hopped right on the subway and made it there in a record 42 minutes! Yay, Q train!
The mini cupcakes were from Baked by Melissa, and I had at least 5 or 6 of these. The cinnamon, not pictured, were by far the best. I could have eaten far too many of those bite-size bites o'bliss! They are all about the size of a quarter and sooo delicious. If you haven't had these treats yet you must stop by one of her three Manhattan spots (link to website at end of post)!!
Ouidad specializes in curly hair, and mine's wavy, but who cares!?! We all need a good scalp massage/shampoo/styling every now and then. Everyone at Ouidad, from the servers to the stylists to Ouidad herself, was absolutely lovely and welcoming. We had a great time catching up, snacking on those cracktastic cupcakes, and sipping some delightful bubbly--and we left feeling fabulous!
